At Farmborough Pre-school our aim is to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment, which ensures equal opportunity for all children and families.

Farmborough Pre-school was started over 45 years ago to provide early years education for children living in this area of Banes. We aim to offer a secure and caring environment in which children can play, learn and grow together and enjoy wide range of experiences.

We have always had strong links with Farmborough Church Primary School and in January 2007 we moved into a specially converted room within the school. This wonderful space we now occupy was refurbished inside and out with funding from the School, Bath and North East Somerset Council and two ‘Big Fund' Lottery grants.

Our playground has undergone some refurbishments that happened in two phases:

Phase 1

Saw us being able to purchase an outside classroom, Wendy House, a multi purpose swing set along with an interactive sensory crocodile.

Phase 2

With the help from a local company called Volker Highways and their Social Value work, they supplied all materials, equipment, the manpower and funding to refurbish our hardcore area. This included slabbing our mud kitchen area, taking up old concrete ready for another local company called Wainwrights who supplied the asphalt to recover the area. Volker Highways then finished the refurbishment by adding some brightly coloured stencils to add another fun way for our children to learn through play.

We offer a variety of extra curricular activities from fundraising to include Yoga, Forest School, ‘Zoolab’, Music Sessions and ‘STEM’.
